Seka Kompeya (sic; Kombeya): Shaker Conveyor
Though this type of conveyor is moved by an air engine, the piston rod of the engine only pushes up a series of troughs and the troughs naturally return to their initial position because of gravity. The shaker conveyor is rarely used today. Its engine shakes the troughs up and down, making a sound like a machine gun.

A trough is made of a steel board 1/10 inch thick and 8 feet long.
The joints of the troughs are fastened together with 1-inch bolts.

It is not recommendable to use this type of transporter because dust coal is wasted when it is used.

Description of the Transporter at the Bottom
Sukureba: Scraper Conveyor
The name of this conveyor sounds very splendid, but it is not very efficient for coal haulage. It is best to use it in coal pits (yama) with hard-bottom haulage ways for thin coalfaces.
The steel board at the rear of the scraper falls forward when the scraper is pulled up.
This wire rope leads scrapers to the level where mine cars are waiting.

These are various devices to send out coal from coalfaces. I suppose that more improved haulage devices are used in coal pits today, but I do not know what to do to confirm what they are because I am an old ex-miner.
