Text on the Right
In the game called pin-age, girls used colorful clay balls in the same diameter as marbles or very small roughly-made flat pieces of earthenware called oitas or menkos in various shapes and colors, such as purple, red, blue, and yellow.
When they played taw, they used oitas (menkos), camellia seeds called "kataishis," or tea seeds.

Text at the Bottom Left
There was also a type of play that involved throwing oitas in each player's hand one by one at ones scattered on the ground.
